A RECEPTION was held in Kildare Village recently in the presence of The Chinese Ambassador to Ireland to mark the Chinese New Year.

2018 celebrates the year of the dog and as a devoted sponsor of the Dublin Chinese New Year Festival for the past nine years, a culturally rich line-up of Chinese-themed activities was curated by Kildare Village for all guests to enjoy in the presence of His Excellency Dr Yue Xiaoyong,

Sugar painting demonstrations from artist Huang Hongmei, personalised horoscope readings from astrology expert, Ting-Foon Chik and children’s arts and crafts workshops with Angela Wang were on offer during the weekend festival which was held on Saturday and Sunday (24 and 25 February.

The continuation of Kildare Village’s foodie horsebox pop-ups saw the arrival of Bite of China – a collaboration with renowned restaurant, Green Dragon Well. The newly transformed horsebox invites guests of Kildare Village to experience and indulge in delicious and authentic Chinese street food including dumplings, bao buns, noodles, Chinese bubble tea and green teas.
