KILDARE 0-12 LAOIS 1-6
EOIN Bagnall scored eight points as Kildare booked their place in the Leinster Minor Football Final for the sixth time in seventh years by beating Laois in O’Moore Park this evening.
Bagnall scored four points in the first half but in general, Kildare struggled in front of the posts and kicked ten wides in the opening 30 minutes. It took Laois until the 17th minute to open their account and when that came it was a goal from Oisin Hooney.
They could have got a second three minutes later but Cian Burke brilliantly kept out Brian Whelan’s shot.
Laois led 1-3 to 0-5 at half time but Bagnall quickly levelled things up after the break and Kildare then really got on top.
Three frees in a row by Bagnall pushed Kildare three clear by the midway point of the half and they didn’t look back from there.
Aaron Browne and Shane Flynn kicked their last two points of the game and Kildare now await the winners of Saturday’s semi-final between Dublin and Westmeath.
