Dettori has picked up the notable mount on the David Lanigan-trained Worth Waiting in a stellar renewal of the Group 1 Juddmonte Pretty Polly Stakes.

Opposition to Worth Waiting includes the Epsom Oaks runner-up Pink Dogwood and the Charlie Appleby-trained Wild Illusion.

Dettori has also been booked by Luke Comer to partner Raa Atoll in the Comer Group International Curragh Cup.

Last year’s Irish Derby winner Latrobe heads a field of ten for the Group 2 contest. Their rivals include the Group 1-placed Mustajeer and last year’s third Twilight Payment. Aidan O’Brien’s three strong challenge is headed by last year’s English St Leger third Southern France.

There is further Group 2 action on Friday with the Airlie Stud Stakes where a field of twelve will go to post. These are headed by Jessica Harrington’s course and distance winner and supplementary entry Albigna and the Willie McCreery-trained Ickworth who won the first two-year-old Listed race of the season and will be bidding to bounce back from a luckless trip to Royal Ascot.

The ground is currently described as good to yielding, yielding in places on the straight track and good, good to yielding on the round track.

The Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby weekend gets underway with racing at the Curragh starting on Thursday evening.
Details of admission prices and discounted offers can be found at www.curragh.ie. Children under 18 that are accompanied by an adult go racing for free.
