Kildare firm Equine MediRecord has been praised by British champion Arabian trainer James Owen, who trains many of the leading Arabian horses of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Based on the Curragh, the business develops, sells and maintains a mobile application and website to allow proper recording of medicines administered to racehorses.
A behind the scenes video featuring Owen was released on the eve of what should have been the start of the Arabian Racing Organisation calendar, in partnership with The Arabian Racehorse.
“Equine MediRecord ticks a lot of boxes for us,” Owens explains. “I particularly like that you can access it off the phone. It’s simple to use, it’s so much easier to keep on top of the vaccinations, you’re not always having to run back to the office to input stuff or have a quick look… we find it very helpful.”
