JUST  a week after winning at the Curragh, Serpentine stunned Epsom with a massive victory in the English Derby at a price of 25/1.

With Emmet McNamara on board, Serpentine broke from the pack early on and while the favourites tracked each other’s progress in the main bunch the winner built up a gap that could not be closed, very much in the style of Padraig Beggy’s win on Soverign in the 2019 Irish Derby.

It’s the biggest win of McNamara’s career just a week after he was pipped on the line in the Irish Derby.

It’s a record eighth win in the race for Aidan O’Brien and following quickly on the heels of Love’s win in the Oaks crowns another amazing weekend for champion trainer.
