Eddie Dunne, McCauley Court and formerly Dooley’s Terrace, Athy, passed peacefully on 31st July, 2020. Predeceased by his brother Paul. Sadly, missed by sister Rose (King), his brothers Patrick and Seamus, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. In line with government advice regarding public gatherings, a funeral Mass for a maximum of 95 people will take place. Eddie will be reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Athy for family and close friends on Sunday, 2nd August, from 5pm to 7pm with Rosary at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Monday, 3rd August, at 11am at St. Michael’s Parish Church, Athy. The Funeral Mass can be viewed by clicking on https://www.parishofathy.ie/ Monday, the 3rd August, at 11am followed by interment in St. Michael’s (Old) Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Esther (Breda) Flynn (née Brennan), Manchester, England/, Athy, Kildare. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Michael, brothers Paddy and Christy, relatives and friends. Requiem Mass will take place at 11am on Thursday the 6th August (limited to 95 people) in St. Michael’s Parish Church, Athy, which will be livestreamed, see www.parishofathy.ie. The death has occurred of Freda Nolan, 11 Farrenberg Glebe, Kildare Town and Barnaderg, Tuam, Co. Galway. Former employee of the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Innovation. Predeceased by her father Mylie and brother Padraic. Sadly missed by her loving mother Mary, sisters Mary, Angela and Collette, brothers Mattie, Michael and Seán, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and her many friends. Reposing at her mother’s residence Saturday with removal to St. Mary Church, Killererin on Sunday, 2nd of August, for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterward at the new cemetery, Killererin. Due to government and HSE restrictions it will be a private funeral for family and close friends.  Family flowers only by request.

The death has occurred of Elizabeth (Betty) Prendergast (née O’Connor) Castlekelly, Gowran, Kilkenny / Kerry / KildareFormerly of Staigue, Castlecove, Co. Kerry and Baltracey, Donadea, Co. Kildare. Retired teacher, died peacefully after a long illness. Beloved wife of Seamus and much loved mother of Siobhan, Seamus and Morgan. Deeply regretted by her brother John and sister Mary (Dowling) Kildare, daughters-in-law Louise and Elizabeth, grandsons Shawn, Brian, Eoin, James, Daniel and Jack, granddaughter Matilda, relatives and friends. Reposing at Joyce’s Funeral Home, Borris from 5pm on Saturday with funeral prayers at 9pm. Funeral to arrive at The Church of the Assumption, Paulstown for Requiem Mass at 2pm on Sunday, followed by burial in The Old cemetery, Goresbridge. Eileen passed away peacefully in the loving care of Management and Staff at Ryevale Nursing Home, Leixlip, County Kildare. (formerly of Ardnehue, Bennekerry) Beloved wife of John and mother of only son David, his wife Nicola and grandson Dylan. Predeceased by her sister Maura Duigan and brother Daniel Pender. Sadly missed by her sisters Catherine, Collette and Philomena (USA) brothers Frank and David, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and wide circle of friends. Reposing at Catherine Doodys’ house, Ardnehue, Bennekerry (Eircode R93 E0 P8) on Friday from 3 p.m. concluding with prayers at 8 p.m. Removal on Saturday (1st. August) at 1.30 to St. Marys Church, Bennekerry arriving for Mass at 2 p.m. Interment immediately afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only. donations to Carlow hospice.

The death has occurred of Geraldine Moran (née Johnson), Oaktree Park, Tully Road, Kildare Town, Kildare. Formerly of Celbridge, Co. Kildare. Predeceased by her father Frank, sister Marie and brother Roy. Peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff at Portlaoise Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Sadly missed by her loving husband Garry son Darragh, daughters Sinead and Fiona, daughter-in-law Rhea, sons-in-law James and Gary, grandchildren Zoey, Jackson and Abigail, mother Christina, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in -aw, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. The death has occurred of Patrick Toomey, Kilcullen, Kildare / Sutton, Dublin. Twenty Five years resident of The Bridge Camphill Community, Kilcullen, and formerly of Sutton, Co. Dublin. Unexpectedly and peacefully left this life to join his parents, the late Des and Patricia. Sadly missed by his siblings Andrew, Des, Elaine, Cliona and Annmarie, sisters-in-law Ruth and Sarah, brother-in-law Eric, his nieces and nephews, and his Camphill family and friends.

The death has occurred of Rosie Wall, Main Street, Castledermot, Kildare. Deeply regretted by her loving sisters Katie and Bitsy, nieces JulieAnn and Catherine, nephew James, grandnephews Edward and Riain, relatives and a large circle of friends. May Rosie rest in peace. Removal on Saturday Morning at 10:45am to The Church of The Assumption, Castledermot arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by Burial in Coltstown Cemetery.
