Ger Dempsey of Geraldine Garden Centre

Athy Tidy Towns is delighted to have been able to complete the installation of barrels and some flowers around the town over the last few weeks or so, a lot later than any other year, but with the help of some socially distancing volunteers and thanks to weeks of hard work by Ger Dempsey of Geraldine Garden Centre.

The additions certainly look great and bring a welcome burst of colour to the town during what is a difficult and challenging time for all. Athy Tidy Towns hopes to have its winter planting in soon.

“Our town needs you and it needs our local businesses,” the group added. “Please support them where you can – social distancing and Government guidelines have been strictly followed to allow for safe engagement during our litter picks and planting.”
