A 2.5 acre development site in Athy will be auctioned at the end of the month, with a guide price of €425,000.
The site, located at The Abbey, Emily Square, will go under the hammer on Thursday 29 October on bidx1.com. A bidding deposit of €7,000 is required – a sum that is fully refundable for unsuccessful bidders.
BidX1, a digital property investment platform that uses technology to enhance the experience of buying and selling property, has described it as a prime town centre development site with the potential for a range of developments (subject to obtaining all necessary consents).
The property is situated on the southern side of Emily Square and is arranged to provide an irregular shaped parcel of land. The site is located within the old ‘Abbey Lands’. The total site area extends to approximately 1.01 hectares or 2.5 acres.
Registration opened at 9am on Monday 12 October – those interested in a property and who want to bid will need to register, a process that involves providing proof of identification and address. Bidding takes place on the relevant property page and bids are logged and displayed on that page in real-time, though bidders are only identified by a number. Interested parties are reminded to check the opening and closing times.
