Kildare had a comprehensive win over Sligo on Sunday last and sit on top of the Group with 6 points and a +26 scoring difference.

Laois, on the other hand lost on Sunday last to Clare on a 5-7 to 1-11 scoreline and are on 3 points with a +7 score difference. Clare, the other team in the Group, are also on 3 points with a +7 score difference.

A win or a draw for Kildare would see them safely through to the All Ireland semi-final. A defeat, however, could open up all sorts of complications with score differences and head to heads coming into play.

In the League game in February Kildare recorded a five point win, 3-14 to 4-6 win and with the scoring machines that are Roisin Byrne, Neasa Dooley and Grace Clifford, among others, then you’d expect Kildare to do the business, after a tough encounter, and qualify for a semi-final spot.

Kildare: Mary Hulgraine; Rachel Cribbin, Lara Gilbert, Shauna Kendrick; Sarah Munnelly, Grainne Kenneally, Laura Murtagh; Siobhan O’Sullivan, Erica Burke; Niamh Sinnott, Lara Curran, Aoife Rattigan; Grace Clifford (capt.), Neasa Dooley, Roisin Byrne.
