Clúid Housing has appointed a design team and submitted a proposal for 29 units (on the former Dominican lands in Athy) which is being reviewed internally in the council at the moment.

A report, issued in response to a question by Cllr Brian Dooley at the November meeting of Athy MD, added that some queries have been sent back to Clúid and that site investigation works were also undertaken recently.

Clúid, a not-for-profit charity and an approved housing body (AHB), provides affordable, high-quality homes to people in housing need.
