Kildare GAA has this evening announced that Ross Glavin has stepped down as Coach/Selector of the Kildare Senior Football Team with immediate effect due to personal family reasons.

Emmet McDonnell will join the setup as Coach/Selector. McDonnell guided St Mary’s, Edenderry to the All-Ireland Colleges Senior Football Hogan Cup title in 2012 and managed the Offaly Senior Football Team from 2012 – 2014. Most recently he managed Tyrrellspass of Westmeath.

In a statement Kildare GAA thanked Ross Glavin for his commitment and dedication to Kildare GAA throughout 2020. They also wished  Emmet McDonnell, who’s name they say will be brought forward to the March County Board meeting for ratification, the best of luck in his new role with the team.
