A FATHER charged with assaulting his three children was remanded on continuing bail until September at Athy District Court on Tuesday 23 February.
The court heard how the man allegedly issued his form of discipline in June, 2019.
Sergeant Brian Jacob briefly outlined the allegations, saying how one child was hit on the hand with a brush, another was smacked for wetting themselves and another was hit on the jaw for jumping on a sofa.
The three children were aged between five and 11 at the time of the alleged offences, to which the defendant is pleading not guilty.
Judge Desmond Zaidan ordered the father’s details were not for publication at this time “not to protect him, but to protect his innocent children”.
He remanded the man until 14 September.
