Kildare’s LGFA National League Fixtures for 2021 were confirmed on Tuesday afternoon. Daniel Moynihan’s team will operate in Division 2B where they will be joined by old foes, Laois as well as Wicklow, who are managed by Moorefield’s Mark Murnaghan, and Longford.

Kildare start with two away fixtures, opening away to Laois in Portlaoise on Sunday 23 May with a 5.30pm throw-in. That will be followed a week later with a Round 2 fixture against Wicklow, who reached the All Ireland Junior Final last year, in Aughrim with a 2pm throw-in.

The Lilywhites will conclude the Group with a home match against Longford with a 2pm throw-in with the venue to be confirmed.

We will have a feature interview with Kildare manager, Daniel Moynihan, in next Tuesday’s Kildare Nationalist.
