There’s a lovely Teddy Bears’ Picnic story at [email protected] in Kilcock and Maynooth tomorrow Friday 11 June, to raise money for the 20 children Jack & Jill supports in Kildare, and 385 nationwide.
They’ve got the picnics in the morning and afternoon sessions with the children, keeping the Teddies in their own little picnic pods!!
Balloons, books, blocks, teddies, picnics, food and fun, and they’ll even be Going on a Bear Hunt, and going to catch a big one, just like the story book! We hope all the children enjoy their picnic.
The Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation must raise over €4 million every year to fund its unique home nursing care and respite service, which is provided to children with highly complex medical and life-limiting conditions, from birth to six years of age, around the country, including end-of-life care. The service mobilises a crew of community nurses and carers, operates seven days a week, and has no waiting list. Over 2,600 families have been supported by the Foundation since it was established in 1997, with the Foundation funding and supporting over 94,000 home nursing hours to the children under its wing in 2020, in addition to hands-on case management from its specialist children’s liaison nurses.
