POPUPART Newbridge is a collective of 21 Kildare-based artists who have had a successful year in 2021 despite the onset of Covid and its restrictions.
The Virtual Gallery Popupartnewbridge.com was established in June 2021 and building on the success of this virtual gallery, they were invited to exhibit in The Riverbank Arts Centre – Newbridge in July, and in the Gra Art Collective Gallery, Naas for the months of July and August, with a subsequent exhibition in the Whitewater Shopping Centre in Newbridge for September incorporating Culture night.
The Christmas exhibition is twofold as follows: The virtual gallery Popupartnewbridge.com is currently available to view online until Friday 31 December.
The ‘Walk In’ exhibition will showcase the work of the 21 artists exhibiting online to a wider audience and allow art lovers pop in and physically view the amazingly diverse and talented work of 21 local Kildare artists at Unit 1/2 Charlotte Street, Newbridge (beside the Hokey Pokey Cafe).
The exhibition was officially opened on Wednesday last, 1 December and is open Monday to Saturday (inclusive) until Wednesday 15 (inclusive) from 9am – 5pm each day.
All are more than welcome to go along and view the free event and hopefully purchase a unique piece of art for themselves or the art lover in their lives for a special Christmas gift.
Why not pop along and view and have a chat with the artist on duty who will be delighted to help in any way.
