Tornado Flyer en route to being the longest odds winner of the King George VI Stakes at Kempton on Sunday,
IT LOOKS like the Kildare ability to judge horseflesh is still alive and kicking after a Stephens’s Day punter from the county took home over €6,000 after landing four winners and a place off just a 50c each way stake.
The customer placed the bet via their online BoyleSports account, and selected five horses running at Leopardstown, Kempton and Wolverhampton on Sunday afternoon.
Jacamar was the first winner in the ambitious wager and obliged at odds of 9/1 in the 1.20 at Kempton, while Good Boy Bobby won the 2.10 at Wetherby at 4/1. Tornado Flyer (28/1) then landed the 3.05 at Kempton before Misty Grey (10/3) made it four winners from five selections in the 3.35 at Wolverhampton.
When the winner logged back into their account the champagne corks could be popped, as their balance had been boosted by a whopping €6,358.17.
“Well done to our customer in Kildare who landed a massive Lucky 31 bet to win a lovely amount of €6,358.17, we wish them happy spending and huge congratulations on the big win,” said Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports.
