Kildare County Council has announced the opening of its grant application window for 2022, to assist with festivals, the community, volunteerism and estate maintenance.
Details of a number of grant opportunities to support community groups, projects, events, and residents’ associations across the county for 2022 are now available from the link at the bottom.
Applications for funding are invited from groups whose activities and projects benefit communities in County Kildare, and the deadline for receipt of applications for all grants is Friday 11 March.
One such is the Community Grants Scheme, which is open to all groups engaged in activities or projects which encourage community participation or volunteerism, and which benefit communities in County Kildare.
This scheme is designed to provide financial assistance in the planning, organisation and roll-out of activities or projects of a community nature in the county.
It is expected this will be a popular application as the country begins to open up again after its two-year hibernation.
There is also the Festival Grants Scheme, which is open to all voluntary groups which organise and run key festival events in the county, such as community fun days, historical re-enactments, dramas, musicals, food festivals, intercultural days or annual parades.
There are also funds available to both private resident and Local Authority Resident’s Associations for the specific purpose of maintaining open spaces within their estate.
Full details of the eligibility criteria and online application forms for each are available at
