The ground was officially broken on the site in Great Connell Road  in Newbridge to mark the commencement of construction of Penneys new 75 million euro warehousing and distribution depot. Measuring 500,000 square feet, the facility will comprise of a distribution centre, warehouse and office space on a 38-acre site.

The Newbridge depot will act as an all-island facility, creating additional capacity and will serve its stores in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

It’s expected the depot will be complete by the end of summer 2024.
