THE Kildare GAA Line Out for the Lilywhites fundraiser which closed on Tuesday, has raised an outstanding €88k for Kildare County Teams, a statement issued on Wednesday on behalf of County Chairman, Mick Gorman, Senior Football Manager, Glenn Ryan and Senior Hurling Manager, David Herity has stated.

It’ll be All White                                        Photo: INPHO/Patrick BolgerThe fundraiser, consisted of people walking/running/jogging 100km during Lent to raise funds in support of Kildare county teams at all levels. “This is a very significant achievement, and all funds raised will be used in support of our county teams. We are delighted with this result and we want to sincerely thank you for your contribution,” the statement from Gorman, Ryan and Herity says. 

“After the brave displays of the U20 Football team in reaching the All Ireland Final we have three  more big finals coming up, Leinster Minor Football Final – Wednesday night v Dublin – Portlaoise. Christy Ring Final – Saturday 21 May v Mayo – Croke Park and Leinster Senior Football Final – Saturday 28 May V Dublin – Croke Park,” the statement continues. 

The three men are calling on supporters to get behind the teams for these three finals. “Can we ask you to once again Line Out for the Lilywhites by putting up the flags and bunting and turning the county white in support of our teams?  If required, flags, banners and bunting will be available for sale in Manguard Plus, Hawkfield, on Thursday evening, 19 May from 6.30pm to 8pm, the statement concludes.
