National Carers Week this year is running from Monday 13 to Sunday 19 June, and Family Carers Ireland are delighted to be hosting over 30 online events, as well as in-person events for carers across the country.
In Kildare, there will be an information session for carers of older adults held in Athy Library on Tuesday 14 June from 11am-12pm. Representatives from agencies such as the Alzheimer’s Society and ALONE will also be present on the day.
There will be a workshop held in Maynooth University on Autism Informed Care – How might Family Care approaches be adapted for autistic adults on Friday 17 June from 9:30am-1pm. This event requires registration through Eventbrite as places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
There will also be a group dog walk held in Castletown House on 16 June at 5pm to support their national fundraiser Paws for a Cause; everyone is welcome to join.
Details of all the events can be found on familycarers.ie/events.
