By Pat Costello

FOLLOWING the Final Round of Fixtures in the EMS Copiers Senior Football League Division 1 on Tuesday night, the semi final pairings and the relegations were confirmed.

Naas confirmed their place at the top of the division with their defeat of Clane and they will face defending League champions, Raheens, in Sunday’s semi final at St Conleth’s Park with a throw in of 3pm.

Meanwhile Athy claimed second spot on the table following their victory over last year’s runners up, Sarsfields, and the two will now face each in the other semi final on Sunday which throws in at 5pm, also in Newbridge.

At the other end Eadestown were already relegated but Confey’s narrow defeat of St Laurence’s condemned the Larries to Division 2 as Castledermot escaped, despite losing to Celbridge, and Carbury had four points to spare over Eadestown and weren’t drawn into the relegation battle.
