A COVID-postponed 70th anniversary of the foundation of Two Mile House ICA was finally celebrated recently with a lunch at Kalbarri Cookery School and Restaurant outside Kilcullen.
The guild is the oldest one in County Kildare and was formed in 1951. The celebration event was attended by 19 members, who shared memories and stories and photographs of times gone by. Guild President Joan Shirran called the toast to mark the many years together in the ICA of those present.
There was a special mention for recently deceased members Breda Patterson and Dolores Brophy who joined the guild in the 1950s and who passed away during Covid.
