In collaboration with Horse Racing Ireland (HRI), 20 members from Seen – Unseen will take part in a sensory exploration with racehorse trainer John O’Donoghue, who is based at Currabeg Stables on the Curragh, on Tuesday 2 August.
Then a group of 40 members will go racing at the Curragh Racecourse on Saturday 6 August to experience a race day in a sensory, non-visual way.
Seen – Unseen is a unique socially engaged art project created in 2014 by artist Clare McLaughlin exploring access to art for the visually impaired person in gallery spaces and elsewhere.
There have been over 90 Seen – Unseen events to date.
