THE Morrissey School of Irish Dance held a celebration on Sunday 12 March for their many achievements and to say a big congratulations to all the dancers.

From the endless weeks of practice, both in classes and at home these dancers have shown themselves and everyone else just what they could achieve and their determination and commitment is second to one.

One very lucky and talented girl won, who had every reason to celebrate was Zoey McLoughlin who won gold at the World Cup Championships.

Zoey started dancing with Michelle and Mary Morrissey when she was just three years old. She worked so hard coming through all the grades and that work has paid off when she was presented with the u10  Championship World Cup Globe. She also won the u11 Intermediate premiership at the same event. There was no stopping her
Speaking at the presentation Mary Morrissey said that they are unbelievably proud of all their dancers, whether they come to compete, participate in shows or just to make lifelong friends while having fun and getting fit.

She said that she and Michelle consider themselves to be the luckiest teachers with those amazing children as part of their classes.
