Johnny Magory Cóisir ag an Loch is the first fully as Gaeilge (Irish language) book in the series of adventures of Johnny Magory.
It’s a retelling of Kildare author Emma-Jane Leeson’s first book, Johnny Magory in the Magical Wild.
Join Johnny as he has the time of his life at the forest party with his magical woodland friends, Mr Badger, Mr Fox, Mrs Squirrel and many more. The boy is told to be back for lunch but he has so much craic at the forest party, will he remember?
“I am so excited to finally release this book, the tenth one in the series,” Emma-Jane said. “It has been a long time in the making and I want to thank everyone who helped. I wanted to rewrite the book in Irish as I am not a fluent Gaeilgeoir but want to use our native language more.”
A book launch has been arranged at Ballynafagh Lake, Prosperous tomorrow (Saturday) at 11am. This free event is a dual celebration of the new book and National Biodiversity Week where Emma-Jane will read the book then bring children exploring around the stunning natural area of conversation that inspired the original book. Registration is live on Eventbrite.
